About POS Terminal Settings

Bleu POS terminal settings allow you to manage the receipt printers, configure the payment and ordering process, and more.

To open the Settings page

  • Open Bleu POS Terminal application menu, and then click Settings:

NOTE: All changes made to POS Terminal settings apply immediately.

Categories of POS Terminal Settings

At the top of the Settings page, you can configure the following settings:

  • Hardware settings: for details, see Hardware.
  • Notifications settings: for details, see Notifications.
  • Synchronize Menu: click to synchronize your POS terminal with Bleu database. This command updates the menu and inventory items, reports and other data with which your POS terminal currently works.

Additionally, the Settings page lets you configure settings in the following categories:

The Allowed Services Settings

Under Allowed Services, you can enable or disable the order types available on your POS terminal:

  • Take Out: turn on to let processing the Take out orders.
  • Delivery: turn on to let processing the Delivery orders.
  • On Table: turn on to let processing the On table orders.
  • Show New Order button in FloorPlains: turn on to display the On Table button on the FloorPlains tab (for details, see the “Overview” section in How to Process the On Table Orders) .

The Checkout Settings

These settings manage the order payment process. The following settings are available:

  • Disable checkout: turn on to disable the order checkout and use your POS terminal in the waiter mode.
  • Multi-store Support: turn on to enable the Multiple stores mode. In this mode, on the Order creation page, or on the Active Orders page, you can select a store where to process the order. This mode is useful when you receive a delivery order through a Call Center or Customer Mobile app. In this case, you can select the store basing on the order delivery address.
    IMPORTANT: You cannot simultaneously enable the On Table and Multi-Store Support settings.
  • Adjust tips before card payment: when turned on, you can confifure the tips amount before paying order with banking card.
  • Show tax exempt: when turned on, allows cashiers to exclude taxes from the order price when paying a customer order (for more information, see Pay Order).
  • Allow card payment without pinpad: when turned on, you can use the Card mode of payments without connected pinpad devices.
  • Hide Confirm button: when turned on, hides the Confirm button on the order payment screen.
  • Hot Cash Buttons: when turned on, you can tap Button values to specify up to three buttons that correspond to banknotes of three different values (such as 5$, 10$ or 20$). You can use those buttons to compose a sum received from a customer for paying order in cash.
  • Print kitchen receipt after payment: turn on to print the kitchen receipt after paying the order.
  • Print kitchen receipt after confirm: turn on to print the kitchen receipt after confirming the order.
  • Start order after payment: turn on to start preparing order after paying the order.
  • Start order after confirm: turn on to start preparing order after confirming the order.
  • Close and start new order after payment: when turned on, after an order payment, POS terminal closes the order and starts new order.
  • Open cash drawer only for cash operations: when turned on,  POS Terminal opens the cash drawer only for performing cash operations, such as Cash-in or Cash-out.

The Ordering Settings

These setting manage the order composing process. The following settings are available:

  • Menu Categories row count: specifies a number of the categories rows to display on a page.
  • Menu Items column count: specifies a number of the menu item columns to display on a page.
  • Modifiers column count: specifies a number of the modifiers column to display on a page.
  • Show common modifiers when choosing item: when turned on, POS Terminal displays common modifiers assigned to an item after adding that item to a customer order (for more information, see Add Modifiers).
  • Show all common modifiers at once: when turned on, POS Terminal displays all common modifiers assigned to an item as  one group of modifiers even though they belong to different groups.
  • Print kitchen receipt after order start: when turned on, POS terminal prints the kitchen receipt after starting the order.
  • Print Z report after end shift:  when turned on, POS terminal prints Z-report after ending the shift.
  • Default Country Code: specifies the default country code for your customer’s phone numbers.
  • Detecting incoming calls: when turned on, inserts the incoming call phone number in the Search for Customer form (see Add Customer).
  • Keep screen on: when turned on, the screen of your Android device stays on forever.
  • Auto logout interval: specifies a time interval (in minutes) after which Bleu POS Terminal automatically logs out.
  • User interface scale: lets you select the user interface scale fitted to your screen size.

The Delivery Settings

These setting manage the order delivery process. The following settings are available:

  • Print receipt after assignment of the driver: turn on to print receipt after assigning a driver for order delivering.
  • Start delivery after assignment of the driver: turn on to start delivering an order after assigning a driver.

Additional Settings

At the bottom of the Settings page, you can access the following commands:

  • Open in Google Play: tap to open Bleu POS Terminal page in Google Play.
  • Request remote help: when you are calling Bleu Technical Support, tap this link to request remote assistance. When prompted, enter your personal code obtained from Technical Support.
