When you pay an item with assigned modifiers, take into account the following notes:

  • If the item has associated related modifiers, POS Terminal prompts you to select them when ordering that item.
  • If the item has associated common modifiers, a way you can process the order depends on the Show common modifiers when choosing item setting of POS Terminal (see General Settings):
    • when this setting is enabled, POS Terminal prompts you to select them when ordering that item.
    • when this setting is disabled, you can manually select common modifiers to add to the item.

NOTE: For more information about differences between related and common modifiers, see Modifiers.

To clarify, consider the following sample scenario.
